Are T-Lab® Products ARTG-Listed/TGA-Approved?

Yes, all T-Lab® Products ARTG-Listed/TGA-Approved and Med-Safe Approved. Please scroll up to view the registrations under PDF Resources.

Does PRP and PRF need to be scripted/prescribed?

Yes, in Australia PRP and PRF (blood components) are regulated as prescription medicines (not biologicals) and therefore need to be prescribed by a Medical Practitioner.

Do I need a prescribing doctor to order T-Lab® products?

No. All T-Lab® tubes/kits are registered as Class IIa and IIb medical devices. Therefore, any practitioner can order these products directly via their Avaderm® Account. Please note, however, that once PRP and PRF is prepared, they are regulated as prescription medicines.

Can I  advertise T-Lab® PRP and PRF?

Yes, PRP and PRF can be advertised. The TGA has outlined that advertising of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) products to the public is not prohibited, as long as advertising complies with Act and Advertising Code.
